aeroway:research=* may be applied to an aeroway used for research sounding rockets (which don't cross the Kármán line)

How to map

Rocket launch

• Create a closed way around the extent of the area.
• Add aeroway:research=rocket_range and further infrastructure (apron;launchpad;...) within the area, see aeroway

Balloon launch

• Research balloons might often just be launched from an "ordinary" aeroway=* temporarily used for this purpose, from a building (manual launch) or fixed (tethered) to a tower:*=* in case of monitoring:*=* for research=*.
• Otherwise add aeroway:balloon=* launchpad;airstrip;... to a closed way designated for this purpose.
• In case of a permanent structure, add the values mentioned in balloon:type=research.
