A sports club, sport club, athletics club, sports society or sports association is a club dedicated to playing one or more sports. Sports clubs range from amateur groups whose members play together or against other amateur clubs, to commercial organisations with professional teams in organised leagues which attract paying spectators. Clubs may be dedicated to a single sport, or to several (multi-sport club).
