History Of The Polish National Baseball Team

The Polish national baseball team represents Poland in international baseball competitions and is governed by the Polish Baseball and Softball Federation, a member of WBSC Europe and the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). The team competes in European championships and World Baseball Classic (WBC) qualifying tournaments and serves as Poland’s primary representative in international baseball. The age divisions for the national team include U18, U23, and the senior team. Poland is currently ranked 52nd in the world by the World Baseball Softball Confederation. [2][3]

Coaching Leadership and Managerial Appointments

In 2024, the Polish national baseball team strengthened its coaching structure by hiring former MLB manager John McLaren and former MLB pitcher and World Series Champion Dennis Cook.

Their first coaching experience together took place during the European Championship Qualifier’s held in Kutno, Poland, and their combined experience led to Poland advancing to the final of the qualifier, ultimately finishing as runner-up to Lithuania.[4]
